I am a 21 year old student studying BA(Hons) Contemporary Art at Huddersfield University I go by the name of Natalie Elaine Depledge. This blog will be used as an expression of my own thoughts and artwork from the weird and wonderful world of my birdcage mind.
Art for me is a way of expressing my emotions. My ideas are influenced by the world around us, things that are personal to me. My art as been discribed as very autobigrapical and each illustration has great conceptual meaning. I can see the curious or bizarre in everyday things which others may find ordinary. To me they have meaning; they inspire me.
My future ambition is to have my own studio space and exhibit my work regularly nationally and internationally and to later open my own business in the form of an art café which will attract and engage young people in Art. My ultimate goal is to become an art therapist and make a difference to this world we live in.
